How make my own time sig design

I was able to make my own time signature designs with Avenir Next Condensed in Sibelius by adjusting the control it gives you on font height and width, which I like better than the Bravura time sig. are there any controls for doing that in Dorico? So far I only found the size control, which of course keeps the proportion.

Alternately, would I be able to make my own svg time sig glyphs and insert those into the time sig settings instead?

Yes – You can use the numerals in any font by setting
Library > Font Styles > Time Signature Plain Font
and choosing
Layout Options > Time Signatures > Time Signature Design: Plain Font

Thanks. I know about that part, but I can’t find controls for independent font width and height and kerning like I can in Sibelius.

Since it’s a font style (not a paragraph style), it won’t have controls for scaling width or letterspacing. In future, they plan to make more items that are currently font styles into paragraph styles. But as things are, I think you’re not missing anything.
