How mixdown to separate files works?

Hi all
I’m wondering - do You know “routing” of tracks while mixdown to separate files?

I assume it should be like: audio → channel fx → group channel fx → master channel fx, right?

I’m trying to figure out best practises when using groups in Cubasis - my workflow includes exporting stems for another producer and I’m not quite sure if exported stems always has its effects from group channel.

Thanks for any help! Matt

Hi Matt,

Thanks for your meessage.

These are the steps to “Create separate files for tracks”:

  • Please make sure a project is loaded
  • Go to “Media/Mixdown” and tap the “Create Mixdown” list entry
  • In the “Mixdown” popup: enable “Create separate files for tracks”

Hope that helps!

Stay safe
& enjoy making music,
Lars

Mixdown export suggestion:

Hi Lars, can you please have it implemented that you can specifically select different tracks for export. This could be similar to selecting tracks when grouping to a bus, which I think is a very good and quick to follow solution.

Thats not what he asked lars

You are right. This should be a suggestion for a new feature.
