How the management to save dorico ipad 2.3 files works?

I’m very sorry to hear that you have lost projects, Martin. If you send me a private message including the email address you use as your Apple ID, I will send you an invitation to download our current TestFlight build, which includes an option to allow you to choose between saving projects in Dorico’s local storage and iCloud Drive.

Incidentally, I don’t think your projects will be completely lost. If you have access to a computer that your iCloud Drive is synced to, you should be able to locate them:

Unfortunately command line you´ve posted doesn´t work for me. But i really appreciate your response anyway. I know that you are doing all you can. I´ve already rewritten my lost files from memory. At the end of the day, this was faster that way for me.

I´ve spent several hours figuring out how saving files on my ipad works. I´ve found that when I start new score on ipad, it simply doesn´t save on icloud and there is no way (or i didn´t find it) to save it directly to ipad. File can be found only in the hub.
But when i start new project on Mac, then upload it on icloud and then improt it to ipad and work with it, there is no problem and every changes i made in the project will upload on icloud.
It is fine, but I still have problem if i want start new score when i am offline.

And thank you for the “TestFlight” offer i will think about it.

At the moment I don’t have my iPad at hand, but as an interim, could you share a project you started on the iPad by emailing it to yourself?
And from the email saving the project to an iCloud location?

This isn’t quite right: when you start a new project on your iPad, it is saved in iCloud Drive by default at the moment (though this will become configurable in the next update, which is coming soon). However, the Dorico folder that should appear in the Files app inside iCloud Drive doesn’t appear on many users’ devices (which is what we are currently in touch with Apple about), which means that if the project disappears from the Open Recent page in the Hub for whatever reason, it appears to be lost, because you cannot browse to it via the file picker in the Hub or via the Files app.

We are working to resolve this as quickly and as painlessly as possible, but it does look as if we will need Apple’s assistance to fully resolve the issue.

Oh now I see. Thank you for explanation. Good to know, that you are working on it, because it is quite critical bug. I´m looking forward for update. Will it be announced somewhere or ipad will update dorico automatically when it is out?

We’ll certainly announce it here on the forum and on the Dorico blog, but your iPad should also update the app automatically if you have that setting enabled.
