How to analyze an Ambisonics output in frequency, loudness etc.?

Hello!

I’ve recently started to work with Ambisonics audio editing and effect mastering, which is very new for me. Here’s the thing: So far I’ve used iZotope Insight 2 to analyze my 5.1 output. With Ambisonics, however, Insight doesn’t work. Unfortunately I haven’t gotten analyzing plugins such as IEM Energy Visualizer to work either. :frowning: So how should I approach analyzing the sound field and loudness values of my Ambisonics output?

I’m guessing you have to decode the signal before analyzing it. Have you done that?
