I recently got nuendo 14 which has all the same features of cubase 14 pro. And I’ve been learning how to use it very well. (I bought it for the added features and plugins so do not harass me for using nuendo please) But I have a question which I can’t seem to find in a YouTube video unless I’m missing it. I have a side chain plugin called Nicky Romero kickstart 2 and I want to be able to automate it and can’t figure out how. For example have a trance pad instrument track that starts out with no side chaining but then the same track of the trance pad has the side chain come in during a part of the song on that pad track via I guess the plugins volume automation or something. I used to use fl studio and all I would have to do was add the kickstart 2 side chain plugin to whatever I wanted in the mixer then right click on the plugins volume in the mixer then draw in the automation on where I wanted the plugins side chain volume on whatever track to start or stop. How can I do this in cubase 14 pro?
use the W and R buttons on the top of the plugin. W for write, R is for read. If you just want to turn off/on the plugin you I would think you could automate the bypass button. Basically the simplest way to explain it is: Press the W button of your plugin during playback and start to move some buttons and sliders etc - your automation lanes should appear in the sequence window.
