does anyone have an advise regarding how to balance my soft pads and string sounds, so they do not make the sound picture muudy? maybe some vst effect to make the sound more straight?
I usually make opposite eq cuts/gains in the sweet spot of the various sounds - failing that if you’re in a hurry wavesfactory are doing their excellent trackspacer VST for £39 until tomorrow. This VST listens to one source and makes live dynamic cuts in the the other track (or mix) to let the sounds co-exist. It can work wonders. Particularly punching bass drums or vocals through a mix.
