So, I open a vsti (kontakt/ absynth/ etc.), select a patch… Record MIDI… When I click on the project window (outside the area of the vsti interface), the project window won’t come up… I have to manually close the vsti window to bring it up. This means either clicking the little x on the top right hand corner of the vsti or the edit vsti box in the MIDI track.
I tried unticking vsti plugins always on top in preferences…to no avail… The same behavior continues.
I also searched the forum for this issue… Didn’t find any fixes…
If I could just bring up the project window by simply clicking on it, life would be so much more sorted…
Right click (or ctrl click) on the vsti window near the top. There should be a menu option to uncheck for that particular vsti. Prefs only set the default behaviour, I believe.
