How to bypass or disable a plugin without entering Cubase

I have a problem:

One of the plugin from iZotope has a bug, and it leads to a situation that some of the cubase projects with that plugin’s instance cannot be opened.

My question is:

is it possible to disable or remove those plugins by editing the project file without launching Cubase?

Hi,

You can move the *.vst3 (VST3 plug-ins) or *.dll (VST plug-ins) out of the folder. Cubase will not find it, so it will be shown like Missing Plug-in in Cubase then.
