How to choose different Vertical Spacing over Flows?

Making a booklet with several pieces, I would prefer to adapt the vertical spacing per flow instead of per layout. Goal is to prevent pages with a single system on it.

In this case there are (at least) two possibilities

  1. Insert a note spacing change and reduce the default space.
  2. In Engrave Mode select something in the first bar on the first page and with hold CTRL/CMD key the final barline on the second page and click on Make Into Frame in the left zone.

Yes, Iā€™d agree that a Note Spacing Change would help, as the spacing is quite light.

Make Into Frame would add the extra system to the page (frame); whereas a Note Spacing Change would keep the same number of systems, with more bars per line.

procedure:

  1. Choose Write mode. Select bars that have to moved into one frame.

  2. Choose Engrave mode. select ā€˜Make into Frameā€™.

You donā€™t need to switch between Write and Engrave for this; in Engrave, you can select something in the first measure and Ctrl/Cmd+click something in the last measure.
