I’ve tried the Shift/Ctrl A method but it doesn’t work. To me this should be an easy function in Dorico but, for some reason, nothing happens when I try these commands. There are two videos on YouTube that I thought would be helpful but the guy talks so fast and doesn’t demonstrate anything making them of no use. Has anyone else experienced this frustrating situation?
It works here in Dorico 6.1. You can also select all and filter for chord symbols.

Just to be clear, Ctrl/Cmd+Shift+A is Select More – it selects more of whatever you start with. If you select a chord symbol and then type this key combo, Dorico will select other chord symbols in that measure; type it again, and Dorico will select other chord symbols in that flow.
If you want to select a particular range of chord symbols, you can select the first one and then Ctrl/Cmd+select the last one and do Select More, and Dorico will select all the chord symbols in between those two.
That’s the frustrating part, as I understand how it’s supposed to work. But when I try those commands nothing happens. Is there a setting that is disabling those commands?
You can go to Preferences > Key Commands, search for Select More, and make sure it’s still mapped to Ctrl/Cmd+Shift+A. Otherwise, it could be something on your system intercepting that key combo.
What happens if you use Edit > Select More from the top menu bar?
Thank you, so much, for your response and suggestions. So, I went into the Key Command preferences and deleted the Ctrl+Shift+A command and re-entered it. Now when I click on a chord symbol it highlights the rest of the chords in that bar. However, when I repeat the command it selects ALL of the chords in the whole piece. I just want to be able to select chords over a, say, eight bar region and paste it elsewhere, but it’s not letting me do that. Any other thoughts?

If you’re only copying small sections of chords I find lassoing them with the mouse (trackpad) copy/paste seems to work well.
