I’d like to make the three marked notes into cue notes. I don’t have othter voices in my score. So how can I make those nots smal?
Open the Properties Panel on the bottom (Ctrl-8 on Win, Cmd-8 on Mac). On the far left there is a section ‘Common’, where you’ll find the option to scale objects to different sizes, among which is Cue size.

@PjotrB’s solution is excellent. There’s another way that’s worth thinking about, just because it allows you to take full advantage of automatic cue labeling, sizing, and so on: create another part that contains the cue music, create a cue in the part you want, and then just make sure this layout doesn’t include the player who plays the cue.
