I’m trying to create a downward gliss line ending with a black arrow in the line tool. However, the option disappears whenever I try to add an end cap to the “wiggly” line.
How can I create a reusable glissando line ending in a solid black arrow?

I don’t think you can add end caps to repeatable (eg wiggly) lines.
You can create a downward arpeggio line with an arrow at the end, on a chord, by selecting the chord, opening the ornaments popover (shift-O) and entering downarp. You can copy it to another chord by selecting the arpeggio line and alt-clicking where you want to paste it.
Hi @bachsama ,
[EDIT: opps, of course the solution suggested by @StevenJones01 (while I was recording my video) is the better one! (And thank you Steven: I didn’t know the downarp command) I leave my video below thought, as a general example on how to use the line editor Add to start/end functionality , in case someone is interested…]
Here a video explaining how you can proceed to have what you desire, using the Lines editor:
@Christian_R It would depend on the the intended use of the line. If it is only intended to be used as a downward arpeggio on notes, then the ornaments popover (or selecting it in the righthand panel) is the quick way. If it is intended to be used as a line, particularly if it will need to be at any angle other than perpendicular, then the line editor is the way.
To do a glissando, you need a horizontal line as a start point. The example you’ve offered is a vertical line, which behaves differently.
Opps again: I didn’t realise that @bachsama’s request was about gliss. (it is late here… )
Anyway I applied the same procedure on a new Horizontal Line (with the right arrow glyph set to Add to End this time), and applying it to the notehead for the Start and End, and with a little adjustment of the end position, it looks not too bad (?). (sorry if I totally misunderstand it…):
