Trying to figure out how to replicate this feathered beam with the quarter/half note on top like this example in Behind Bars ^^
Specifically, fitting 4 notes inside a dotted half notes space.
The best compromise I figured out so far was 4:6 tuplet that has feathered beams. But just adding that dotted half on top would be a lot more elegant I think.
I donāt think Dorico will let you do that using the tuplets tool. You can hide the tuplet bracket and number (in the properties panel), should you really need a tuplet (not the case here). Then use the line tool to create the bracket and use a MusicText item (quarter and half note) as text centered on the lineā¦
Is there any way to achieve this without the tuplet tool?
Cause itās less the tuplet, and more that Iād like 4 equally spaced feathered beamsā¦And the ability to choose the amount of space between the notes. Whether thatās quarter, dotted rhythms, half notes, whole notes, etc
Specifically that this would be fine, if it actually fit the entire dotted half duration.
And definitely not this
Hereās what I meant :
Feel free to study what Iāve created in the Lines tools (for you, with MusGlyps font) :
notehead in brackets.dorico (504,6 Ko)
Of course you can use Engrave mode sub-mode Note Spacing to create that accelerando placement of noteheads BUT it will create a kind of mess in the other instruments, unless you take care of it using the little circular handles instead of the square ones.
