Hi. I have found a step by step guide to creating incipits and I have managed to create a separate flow for the incipit but that is as far as I have got. The next step says:
“Exclude the incipit flow from the master page main frame chain (the ‘Flows’ filter drop-down for the MA frame chain in the master page editor)”. As a new user I’m afraid that I cannot make any sense of this…help!!!
I’m guessing you are referring to this thread:
Are you using Dorico Pro 5?
If so, go to Engrave Mode, select the master page (right hand side) and double click to edit. Then remove the flow from the chain (just click around, you’ll figure it out).
However, I’m wondering whether there are some better alternatives, as we have the Coda function now, which I don’t think was there in 2018. Undoubtedly someone with more knowledge will write here soon, for example @benwiggy - a very active poster and expert user.
That’s a very old thread, and there are now much simple ways of creating incipits.
