How to delete only the melody staff of the first system only

HI

I like to know how to remove the melody staff only from the first system only as shown on my project start in the jpg attached I have tried with staff visibility but it remove all melody staves in all system. Please your help would be musch appreciated.

Basically there are two ways:

  1. If only the melody staff in the 1st system is empty and all other systems contain music set Hide Empty Staves in Layout Options > Vertical Spacing > Staff Visibility to All Systems
  2. Use Manual Staff Visibility: First of all apply a Reset of the melody staff in the 2nd system and then hide it in the 1st system.

The Layout options>Vertical Spacing>staff Visibility is the correct way to go.

It only hides the empty systems. Obviously, until you enter your melody it will hide them all, but If you go to Galley View (or Fill view) you can enter the notes there and your Page view will update appropriately.
