I got this in an XML input.
What do the field of that flag indicate?
And how do I clean up the mess?

What happens if you just delete the signpost? The red thingy…
If you just want to get rid of bar 87, use the system track to delete it.
The text of the signpost itself is telling you the time signature (2/2), the beat unit (h = half; you’d also see e.g. q for quarter, e for eighth, etc.), and the beat grouping (1+1, i.e. the time signature consists of two beats of one half note each).
In teh case of the first one, I had ended up just deleting the entire staff and start from scratch.
Now have discovered this.
It this an error? A warning? An FYI?
I have tried deleting it but nothing happens.
If this indicates something wrong, how do I correct?
Thx
When it’s the same as the prevailing meter, it’s probably an explicit barline. Try selecting and deleting the barline at the start of 258. If it disappears, delete the signpost and that should restore normal barlines.
We can’t tell by looking whether the hidden meter comes with an explicit single barline or not, so we have to delete to find out.
I deleted the bar line and the flag went away. Must have been two bar lines in one location?
Naw, it’s just that some things in XML get interpreted as special barlines. And since we can’t tell an explicit single barline from a normal one, it shows a signpost.
