How to disable Auto Save folder creation?

I recently upgraded from Cubase Pro 12 to Pro 15. I always have auto save turned off because it’s my common practice to save often & don’t care for the bak files cluttering things up. Just opening & closing a project in Cubase 15 creates an Auto Save folder even though no edits were made & auto save is turned off. That, in turn changes the date on the project folder. Is there any way to disable the Auto Save folder creation?

I’m using Windows 11 Pro 25H2.

I don’t think your settings changes take place until you close and reopen Cubase. I use Nuendo but it was the same thing for me, I turned off AutoSave and reopened and then deleted the couple of AutoSave folders that had been created :slight_smile:
