No, I’m not arguing, I’m getting the same response. There’s a dead band around 100Hz for the Frequency parameter on the Channel EQ’s Band 1. (Sends are the same by the way.) My point was just that this behavior doesn’t apply to all VST parameters. The plugin will not easily let go of the encoder at the default position no matter what type of controller it is, or no matter if feedback is disabled or not.

I could be wrong, but I think this behavior is only present in Steinberg plugins as well as the Mix Console, Channel Strip, EQ. I haven’t experienced it on a 3rd party plugin.
