I have spending a lot of time trying to erase the little tempo and frame break in Dorico pro 5, how can I do it ?
Welcome to the forum, @christian.kohlheim. Deleting these things should be as simple as clicking on them to select, then pressing Delete or Backspace. However, you need to be in Write mode in order to delete tempo markings. Other than that I think we require more context to help you, could you post the Dorico file so we can take a look?
Dear Sir,
I did what you suggest ( I had done it before of course ) but the it put a mess in my music:
-1- If I erase the tonality marker it change my music to DO major instead of LA major
-2- If I erase the frame break ⌠it really puts a mes in my general music
I send you hereby the file
Thank so much for your time and help
Regards
Christian

Those are Signposts that you can hide from menu View/Signposts
Those coloured flags (Dorico calls them signposts) will not show up in the printed music, they are just an indication whatâs going on and giving you something to click on while editing the file. If you hold the key left of Z on your keyboard (Mac: `, Win: \ ) you can get a preview of the printed music without any of the signposts. Or go to the View menu, Signposts and hide them either per category or globally. However, if you actually delete them, you delete their meaning too.
One thing I can see in your file though is that youâve forced the entire layout into place using Frame Breaks set to wait for each other. If you then delete one of them, indeed the music will start looking like a mess. Generally it is a good idea to let Dorico do most of this layout work automatically and only use manual System and Frame Breaks when youâve exhausted the global settings in Layout Options. So in this case, maybe you should delete all the frame breaks (or rather, Engrave > Format Music Frames > Reset Layout) and see how you like the result.
Dear Sir
So kind of you and sooo simple âŚ. I have been fighting for days and hours of listening and reading without any successâŚâŚ
Like everything once we know it seems so simplest until one discovers how it can take a long time.
Anyway thanks so much

Christian
PS: I love this application sooooo much better and user friendly than Finale, I am glad to have it although it is more complex but very complete
Welcome to Dorico and the forum @christian.kohlheim
As youâre relatively new to Dorico, you might find it helpful to work through our First Steps guide: it will introduce you to a selection of common notations, features, and workflows alongside bits of Dorico philosophy.
It includes a couple of topics that involve signposts (see here and here) to help get you familiar with how they work in Dorico.
Helloooo , I have some problems adding bars, I can do it through the popover but when I insert notes or copy notes from another part, notes are all squeezed up, it seems that the new bars do not extend.
How can I do that please ?
@christian.kohlheim youâve asked this question in a new thread already â please donât ask the same question in multiple threads, it can lead to duplicate or even conflicting responses, and takes up more of peopleâs time.
