Hi,

You can export your whole Cubase settings by using Profiles. Key Command area part is it.

Or you can just Copy - Page the Key Command.xml file from-to the Cubase Preferences folder.

:frowning: :frowning: :frowning: but where is located in windows? is possible you help me with the route?

File > Profile Manager.

The Preferences folder: AppData / Roaming / Steinberg / Cubase “X”, if I’m right.

Thank you very much!!!

You are. Here is an ugly, yet convenient paste-able shortcut to that for Windows:

%appdata%\Steinberg\Cubase 9_64

this one with: Win + R right?

thank you again

Yes, or in the address bar of a folder:

Bear in mind that even if you save a Keyboard shortcuts preset, it won’t actually be saved into the XML file until you close Cubase. Pretty dumb.

I don’t now why Steinberg don’t just let us save a preset to a discete file on disk, in the same way you can save a PLE preset to a file.

I’m also a user that needs to skip between several computers and it’s so annoying that it isn’t easier to move or synchronize settings between different systems.

That’s really strange. To transfer shortcuts must be made easier!

Hey everyone,

I know this is an old thread, but for anyone using Cubase 13 Pro (or newer versions) who stumbled upon this, the process has become much simpler now!

To export your key command assignments, just follow these steps: File > Export > Key Command Assignments

Alternatively, you can search for the official documentation by using the keyword “Exporting Key Command Assignments • Cubase Pro Help” for more detailed instructions.

This should save you a lot of hassle compared to the older methods mentioned earlier in the thread. Hope this helps!
