How to flip (invert) automation data?

Is there a way to invert (flip) automation data? (e.g. +10db → - 10db , louder turns into quieter)
I know this has been asked already in the cubase forum … anyway just curious.

It was discused here many times ago. Unfortunately, this is not possible.

Thanx for the info! Couldn’t believe it.
This should be on the wishlist for future updates.
Cheers

Yes, it is.

Well, isn’t there by definition more “headroom” to lower for example volume automation versus increasing it? You can raise it by X dB, but lower it to infinity.

Honestly I think it’s of limited usefulness. But I wouldn’t be opposed to it if it was a simple thing to program.

Is inverting automation data still not possible in Nuendo 12? I would invert the sine curves of automation for panning. However, I could not find a way.

I was wondering this too recently. It’s possible in S1 so hoping it was here too

Just a little hint:

Provided that the sine wave is of constant frequency, just select all the relevant points of the curve and move it by half a period to the left or right.
