Hello! Is it possible to default to separate individual Ped. symbols on MIDI import instead of retakes?
I prefer using the Ped. and * symbols instead of the line, and converting a line symbol to the * symbol loses the retake positions.
My process right now is to import with the Ped. and line symbol, split every retake into individual Ped. sections manually, then change all the Ped. symbols to use * instead of the line.
Example:
This is what I get on import:
This is what I’d like to get:
Can you select all the pedals (only) then modify their properties?
I can, but changing the pedal symbols to use the * instead of the line loses all the retakes position in the process.

You can do this in bulk:
Select All
Right click > Pedal Lines > Split Pedal Line
Then go to Engraving Options > Pedal Lines > Design and set this option:

Almost there, but this seems to split the line at the position of every note that’s selected (and sort of killed Dorico in the process haha - upd: it was just still processing the changes, it came back to life now after a minute or two).
Sorry, not the exact same position as the earlier screenshot, but this is what I have now:
The best workaround I have in mind at the moment is to go into Note Input mode, start from the top and move to the position of every single Pedal Retake throughout the project, splitting them into unique Ped. symbols using a custom Keyboard Shortcut. I would then go and select all the Ped. symbols using a filter, and change them to use the * end symbol (or change them globally using the Engraving Options like you suggested, indeed!).
But I’m hoping there’s a bulk solution to do this in a single operation.
Engraving mode almost gets me there, since it allows me to select the pedal retake itself, and using the Split command actually splits the line at the proper position:

…but it won’t work if I select multiple Retakes then split (only splits at the position of the first selection) and I can’t find a way to bulk select all Retakes (I have to manually select every single one, then split).
