Question says it all.
When I press Insert to add a marker it doesn’t snap to the grid.
Is there a way to do this without resorting to post-processing the markers with the PLE?

Unfortunately there is no way. The Marker is snapped when you insert it by using Draw tool only.

You could potentially create a macro key command for this but you’d have to be consistent in your application of it.
