How to get rid of colored barline overlay?

I deleted a measure, then moved part of the following system up to fill the gap. All of a sudden this colored overlay appeared on the barline where the measure was removed. I don’t know what it is, but I cannot remove it. Does anyone know what it is, why it appeared and how to remove it? I do not believe it is a Signpost because it does not respond to a “Hide Signpost” command.

@prman I’ll paraphrase @janus (What is this red bar - #2 by Janus):

It’s the ‘stop’ in insert mode. Anything inserted before it ought not to affect notes after it. Shift + Alt+ i will create it and remove it.
