I don’t seem to be able to get rid of this rest:

Have you tried selecting the first red note (g’) on the second beat and selecting Starts Voice in the properties panel?

yes, it does not seem to work, as it is the only bar, where a third voice is been introduced.
Strangely enough I had it somehow hidden under 1.0
In 1.0.10 it appeared in Print mode only, then after trying to get rid of it, became sticky…

Possibly you did something that has changed it into a “forced” rest.

Try selecting the rest and hit Delete, then try “Starts Voice” on the first note again.

it worked - problem solved
