I have a situation in a guitar part where there is a repeating, slurred two-note figure (D-natural to C-natural) with a pull-off for each. Because the key signature has a C#, the first of the two “C’s” has a natural sign, but the second does not, and this makes the slurs two different sizes by necessity. Because the slurs are different, Dorico automatically places the two “P” signs in different vertical positions, but this looks odd to me, because the pitches for the two pull-offs are the same. I would prefer that the two “P” signs be aligned horizontally, even though the slurs are different. Is there any way to achieve this other than manual positioning? (This figure occurs over and over in my project, and I have found that I cannot copy and paste my manual positioning without it being “reset” by dorico’s automatic positioning.) I have included a picture of Dorico’s automatic pull-off sign (“P”) placement, which is not aligned, as well as a picture of my own manual positioning, which I prefer (the one with the rest in the lower staff). I am using Dorico pro 5. (I know I should upgrade, but I bought 5 right before 6 came out, and I want to learn 5 a little better before I switch.) I would appreciate any suggestions on the best method to align these pull-off markings. Thanks!
