I have the following lanes in my project. Now I would like to record one another take of everything in another lane. However, when I click record all the selections are reset and only the currently recorded lane is selected. This is a bit annoying, but I guess I do not use it correctly… Is there any locking or how would you solve this please? Thank you.

You can use Render in Place, instead of re-recording.

It’s like merge layers in Photoshop, this is good.

Use the Comp tool to “mute” the new take… and your previous selection will show.
From there cut/split the new take at proper places, while still muted… Then select whatever parts you want from the new take.
Should work well
