How to make a chord diagram available for all roots?

Thanks for taking the time to provide screenshots showing what you’re doing. Unfortunately I still can’t follow exactly what you’re doing. After you enter the Am7 chord symbol and Dorico chooses the voicing at the nut, you then type Shift+Alt+Q to show the Show All Variants of Chord Diagram dialog. Then what are you doing? Are you selecting the first chord diagram and clicking Edit, then changing it to be positioned at the fifth fret, or are you selecting the chord diagram shown on the second row of the dialog that has a very similar fingering to the one you show in your third picture and edit it to match this one, or something else?

If you could spell out the steps in words as well as pictures, I’d find that really helpful. Sorry for being slow on the uptake!
