how to mananage midi loop libraries in Cubase

There must be an easy way to do this, but the coin hasn’t dropped for me yet

I’ve got 100dreds of 1 or 2 bar midi loops with chord progressions, drums patterns etc.
Now I just drag them onto an empty track with my favorite VSTi and audition them.
But what I would really like to do is to have them in the mediabay indexed and being able to preview them in some way with the preferred preview instrument, or assigned instrument, what would be the best way to do this?

On page 632 of the Cubase Pro 9.5 manual. Export instrument as midi file…
There’s also page 158 export standard midi file.

I haven’t tried these yet but I think they’re different.

And once you save then in a folder they should show up in mediabay for auditioning.

I’m not at my computer now but I think this should work because they’re the only 2 options
written In the manual… one saves midi only the other saves midi loop / instrument…

Thnx, i’ve now managed my 3rd party midi files, but indeed need to find a way to backup patterns from projects in order to recycled. Things like chord progressions, melodies, drum patterns etc.

This would be great, did anyone ever find our how to do it?
