How to NUMERICALLY scale automation data around an offset

I realise there is a scale automation handle but it has several shortcomings…I simply want to specify a reference offset and have the already written automation values scale by a value/coefficient

Im using Vocal Rider and its absolutely brilliant…except it either hard writes the fader values or if you specify lower ranges, it flattens the tops.

I simply want to have it do an absolute ride and then scale so I can restore a bit without using mixing for various reasons that will just complicate the solution

Anyone know how this could be done?

Hi,

If you select multiple automation nodes and you change one of the value in the Info Line, all other move relatively. Is this what you are looking for?

No, I want the equivalent of scaling around a center programmatically. A similar action to manually selecting events then grabbing the middle right handle etc

A bit like logical edit for midi

I’m sorry, this is not possible.

I was thinking about Logical Editor Presets, bude you can only Trim the values (Increment/Decrement, Multiply, Divide). And you cannot set the source value to the Target Filter, so you cannot divide it to higher/lower then.

Oh well. A bit sad. +1 for Reaper unfortunately. 0 for Ableton (native without max) and +0.5 for studio one.

Ok have to ditch Vocal RIder…anyone want to buy it?
