I own a Midi Fighter Twister midi controller which has a cool feature that allows you to push an encoder down, twist, then release, which sends a different midi cc than simply twisting the encoder or simply pushing it as a button. I would love to be able to program this to solo an eq band on Frequency (or fabfilter pro-q 3), sweep around until I find the frequency I am looking for and then release it (un-solo frequency band). Is this possible?
Hi,
Do you use the Mapping Assistant or do you write a script, please?
I’m afraid this is possible only via the scripting.
I would not know where to even begin with scripts. But thank you for the response Martin.
Although I have not looked into this particular use, my gut feeling tells me you probably want to configure your MF Twister to send an On/Off MIDI CC when pushing down on the encoders. Then map this message to Solo On/Off in Frequency.
Thanks for the thoughts. I will give it a shot.
Hi,
Sorry, my expectation was, you wanted to do something more complicated. But in fact @mlib is probably correct.
If you press the button, Solo will be switched On and you can tweek the parameter. Once you release the button, the Solo will be switched Off (and you can tweak the parameter too).
