Is this likly to change at one point? I’m lucky enough to have a dual monitor setup for opening Write and Engrave Modes simultaneously, so I can work around this…

Leo, this is fine and makes sense, since you add musical content in Write Mode only, but for graphical manipulation I’d appreciate the filters…

We have no current plans to make filters work in Engrave mode.
Dorico shows chord symbols on rhythm section instruments, but I want mine to appear also on a part I’ve written for Oud. How can I tell Dorico that I’m classifying this instrument as rhythm section? This is a longish piece of several hundred bars, so using the marquee tool is terribly time-consuming and fiddly.
Forget copy and paste - it’s irrelevant to your question. Go into Setup mode, right-click on the Oud player and go Chord Symbols > Show for all instruments.
