How to remove “Track Presets” on audio track

I’m using Cubase 13 Pro.
On an existing audio track, I went to the Inspector tab and chose a vocal track preset to add, but quickly realised I didn’t want it.
Although I can change the track presets I cannot find a way to remove it completely so the Track Preset is blank and my audio track returns to having no effects.
Can anyone advise if I’m missing something or if it’s just not possible?
TIA
Scott

Yes, I see it too here, I don’t know, maybe there’s a straight forward way to get rid of it, I just don’t see it.

Anyway, one thing you can do (apart from manually deleting each element connected to this preset) is to create a new empty one, save it with a name like “empty” or “init” so that whenever you want to empty the slots, you can recall this one.

Old question here. If you did not find the solutions yet, try this: Select and drag the preset out of the track., hen release mouse button outside this area and the preset will be gone.

Doesn’t work here - drag not possible.
Immediately the preset dialog opens…

just right click to the insert panel and press reset button in dropdown menu, or
for mac (command+ mouse left click)
for win (ctrl+mouse left click)

Unfortunately not possible, per Manual ( Cubase 14 Pro ) →

My workaround:

  1. Create a New Track ( Audio, Instrument, etc. )
  2. Move the Event(s) to this New Track
  3. Apply desired / same settings that were present on Old Track, with the Preset
  4. Delete the Old Track

( I tried to use a “Default / Clean” Preset, like @m.c proposed, but didn’t like it at the end - since it preserved a Track Name in my case. I tried to apply the Default preset and deleted it afterwards to see if that would remove it from the track, but didn’t succeed - the Preset Name was still on Track. I’ve created a Feature Request “Track Preset Remove“, in case it’s possible to be done. )

I will also write it here:
Please use the Undo from the MixConsole. That will undo any changes to the channel of the track.

Thanks @Johnny_Moneto - I will surely tried that next time, and familiarize myself more with Cubase’s Layered Undo Tech  ( which I’ve noticed, but haven’t used it, yet ).

Hello all

Here the solution I use : erase all parameters (inserts, EQ, sends, …) and then save this conf with a name you choose (Initial, Empty, Null, Whatever you want). And then next time you’re trapped, choose this preset and it will erase all previous one.
