How to remove uneccesary ties in cubase scores

Hello can someone please help me. I would like to know how to remove the ties in my score. I can’t find this info in the manual so if someone can point me to the explanation, I would be very thankful.
Cubase is showing tied notes when I would like the note at the bottom to be a whole note instead of 4 tied quarter notes.

You have to use the polyphonic staff mode and set the whole note to Midi channel 2
