How to restore lost preferences

Last night our Wavelab PC did a software update. Today when we opened Wavelab 12 all of the preferences were completely lost. Literally everything. WHen we installed 12 last week, it asked if we wanted to carry the preferences from 11.2 over to the new installation of 12 and we said yes. And that worked great.
When we open 11.2 all preferences are intact and working. Is there a way to import or copy the 11.2 preferences to 12? And if this is a known issue, how can we avoid in the future? Thanks.

Check this link and try…

I’ll try this and let you know how it goes, thank you

If WaveLab 11.2 is still installed, simply delete the whole folder

C:\Users[UserName]\AppData\Roaming\Steinberg\WaveLab Pro 12\

or Mac:

/Users/YourName/Library/Preferences/WaveLab Pro 12/

Ok I will check it out.

Thanks.

Would it make sense to uninstall 12 and reinstall? Would I need to deactivate it first?
Thanks-

HI!
Did you see my previous messages?
Please let me know. We are stuck here.
Thanks so much!

Use this button (purple arrow) to locate the folder to erase.

The recommended setting location is given by the red arrow.

Thank you so much!! That worked perfectly. Fred thought he had done that already, but obviously he didn’t do that exact thing somehow.
That was definitely the move.
(Sorry if I was a pest. Truly!)
Cheers,
Larry
