I don’t see a search box, only the magnifying glass top right hand that seems to search all the forums, not just Dorico? Am I missing something?
Thanks!
Select the category first on the left hand side
and then click the magnifying glass. It will now show you the category you have selected
Or click on the “In Dorico” bit below the search bar, and it will add a tag for the Dorico forum.
Oooooh thank you so much! so simple but would not have thought of it.
Or type #Dorico
anywhere in your search term and it’ll search only this forum.
Or, another option on top of that – you can click the icon on the right of the search field to access advanced search options.
This gets you to a static page where you can merrily pick various parameters for your search. For example, if you wanted to search only posts tagged as “announcement” in the “dorico” category that were posted by “dspreadbury”.
I usually go to google, type my problem into the search bar with the word Dorico at the end of my search, and let google find the solution in the Dorico forum for me. Ex in google search: “Enter multiple lines of lyrics Dorico” then hit enter. Click one of the top two search options for the steinberg Dorico forum! Bamb! You got your answer.
also when searching the forum, check the date/year.
For many answers, something might have changed or has been updated in a later version of Dorico.
The Steinberg help manual is where you can search for answers also. as you probably know already (just adding this post in for any others looking at this thread.) You can specify which version of Dorico you have, SE, Pro and version number, e.g. v5.1 and get the information relevant to you.

Thank you everyone! I just noticed the “forum” button in Dorico itself. #toomuchtolearn
