How to shorten an audio fragment?

I’ve been recording a single bass drum as an sample file. But the audio file is a measure long while I want to shorten it to just a quarter note. But how can you do that?

Hello YamahaPsr,

You’ll need to set your grid in Cubase to Auto Snap then set your Quantize preset to 1/4 note. Then you can use the pointer tool in the corner of the audio file to shorten the .wav file by quarter note intervals.
