HellonKenneth,
you have come to the right place, welcome to the Dorico forum.
First of all, you might be able to keep working with Finale (the way you are used to) for years to come probably. There is really no need to rush into unknown territory.
If you are interested in learning Dorico - which is very different from Finale -
take your time, and please, don’t hesitate to ask here. Everybody is very happy to help. Things that might feel difficult at first might be even easier than expected…
This video is 6 years old, but still worth watching: https://youtu.be/lgfEe1oiFLs?si=V40t94xKu_H0Wyng

I’m sorry the initial “on-ramping” has some bumps, but you’ll find this to be an incredibly friendly and helpful forum as you keep working at it.
This might be the wrong time to waylay you with a video, but have you watched the (rather comically titled) 48-min Discover Dorico video “Drums in One Minute?” I found it pretty helpful when I was first working with drum kit parts.
EDIT: the shorter one @k_b links to above might be a better place to start.
