Without my steinberg audio interface it is not possible, to start a project with 44.1. kHz sample rate. It can‘t be an iPad issue (f.e. iPad 2022 pro) cause Logic can start projects with 44.1 kHz without audio interface connected on the same iPad.
Would be nice to use this feature in Cubasis too.
Hi @Tastenfuchs
Cubasis supports the available sample rates for the devices in use, which is 48 kHz for the iPad Pro 2022.
Best,
Lars
Thx for the answer. But why can Logic support 44.1 kHz on iPad Pro 2022 and Cubasis not?
Would be nice to have this feature.
Being able to independently set the project sample-rate can be done but it would require on-the-fly re-sampling to the hardware sample-rate during playback. (LogicPro for iPad uses Core Audio to resample the project to the device sample rate on-the-fly in case there’s a sample-rate miss-match).
The project sample-rate is what the plug-in receive from the host which for plug-ins such as Scaler 2 is a must to keep timing since it’s currently ‘locked’ to 44.1k and behaves a bit weirdly when 48k is used.
So it’s definitely doable and would avoid the constant re-sampling of all audio files when the sample rate is changed.
