How to stop cubase from reducing midi cc points after recording

hey guys
is there a way to make cubase stop thinning out recorded midi cc points? For automation, I know how to prevent cubase from reducing points on volume pan and plugin parameters you just go to project >automation panel >reduction level and set it to 0, But for midi cc like cc1,cc2,cc11 etc, cubase still removes points after recording it smooths out the curve and changes the feel. So is there a way to disable this like with the other type of automation ?

Hi,

Switch the controller lane to the Step instead of the Ramp.

Thanks alot, Martin.

Hi Martin, can you help point out where you can do this? I only see step vs ramp/curve options on the info line once i select the CC data which isn’t what im looking for. I want to be able to use the draw tools and record what i draw like cubase 12 and it seems like all inputs are ramps even if i previously changed that section of data to step.

thanks

Edit: Sry i found it.
For those also wondering: MIDI CC lane > drop down arrow (Controller lane setup) > Type of new controller events > Step (or ramp)

Click the teeny tiny arrow then select your choice from the menu.
