How to stream Cubase on Windows direct to Android phone

Hi, I suspect this may have been solved in various ways but here’s mine fwiw:

To get desktop audio on my phone I use Soundwire - very simple to set up and use, so get that working first. The free version suffices.

To get Cubase and Windows to share outputs I use VoiceMeeter as my main Windows audio driver, set to use “VoiceMeeter Input”. Set the Soundwire server to use “VoiceMeeter Output”

Now set Cubase to use ASIO4ALL. Create a Monitor output in Cubase’s Audio Connections (F4) and send them to the now-available “VM Aux out 1/2”. I couldn’t get it to work going direct to VoiceMeeter in Studio Setup.

Bingo! I’m now listening to my tune on the Bt speaker linked to my phone. In fact, because I also use the phone to listen to the radio through this speaker, I’m now listening to both at the same time. Handy, I suppose, if you’re writing background music!

Cheers,
C

Nice, and thanks for sharing!

I too use VoiceMeeter. My solution was to use VB Audio’s “VBAN” app which connects straight to VoiceMeeter using my home network. I just installed that on my Android phone and Bob’s your uncle.

For DAW-routing my Nuendo goes to my MOTU 16A which can accept multiple client softwares, so VoiceMeeter gets a signal from the MOTU mixer and can send straight out to it.

Silly name for a software, but VB-Audio’s apps are quite good.

I had a look at VBAN (have it installed) but for some reason never got stuck into it so now I will. Cheers
