How to Timestretch Audio + Mide

Hi,

I have a project that is in the middle of production that includes both midi and audio tracks that has an Into of 107bpm that speeds up to 130 when the Music starts. I’d like experiment with increasing the tempo in the 130 section.

I’ve been trying all afternoon and I’m no further ahead; the midi and audio are always out of sync when I increase the tempo in the tempo track.

Can someone please explain to me how to accomplish this type of tempo increase?

Thanks

Pool reflect correct starting tempo?

Some things to check:

  1. Audio in “Musical Mode”
  2. Audio and MIDI in the same Timebase. I think this would be Musical Timebase (where the little quarter note is highlighted on the track) rather than Linear Timebase (the gray clock).

In any case a picture is worth a thousand words, and a video is worth at least a few pictures:

Good luck!

You’re welcome! That Steinberg youtube channel is pretty helpful, as is the “tips and tricks” you see when you click the"cubase" heading after logging in here.
