How to transfer license to other people

I have three Dorico licences:

  • Two for Dorico 3.5: one of them is activated once, but none of them is used at the moment.
  • One for Dorico 5: I am using it.

I want to give my nephew a Dorico-3.5-licence and let him upgrade to Dorico 5.
How can I do this?

Thank you very much!

Hi Daniel, I’m owning a Edu license and Finale with a regular licence. As the full Dorico license for Finale users is quite cheap I consider to get the non edu license. Is there a way change my edu licence to a non edu as a finale owner?
Or: what will happen to my edu license when I stop teaching at the conservatory?

@dspreadbury will correct me if I’m wrong, but no doubt Dorico will keep working if you quit conservatory. Paid updates to v.6 etc. in the future won’t have an edu discount anyway, so your edu licence will change into a regular one by itself.

Yes, @PjotrB is quite right. You can hold on to your educational license indefinitely, and when you decide to update to a newer version of Dorico, that will transform it into a regular, full retail license.
