Hello, and thank you for your help. The Grok AI tells me that to connect my Roland FA-08 keyboard and use Roland sounds on the UR22 mkII, I need to use TRS cables and that I need to move the mode selectors on the UR22 mkII, which are small slide switches located just below the combo inputs (INPUT 1 and INPUT 2). They look like small black levers next to the combo jacks.
I can’t see these levers, even with a TackLite or a magnifying glass. Could Grok be wrong?
A huge thank you for your help and your valuable time.
Dany
I think it’s an ai hallucination … You just have an INPUT 2 Hi-Z switch. You can use either balanced (TRS) or unbalanced cable depending of the output of your keyboard. If you choose to plug your keyboard on INPUT 2, ensure the INPUT 2 Hi-Z switch is released.
It is wrong!
Grok also told me that my audio interface might automatically detect TRS cables, which is what happened. Last night, I managed to use the sounds from my Roland FA-08 with my UR22 mkII. I’m using both inputs, one and two, and the sound is perfect. Thank you all for your time and help.
That is a simple switch in the TRS socket. Mechanical!
