How will DAWproject Support work with a bitwig project containing Clap plugins?

How will DAWproject Support work with any project containing Clap plugins?

Will steinberg now be supporting Clap plugins?

There is nothing mentioned in the Release Notes about that.

Only VST3 plug-ins are supported.

I know, thats why i asked.
How will dawproject import work if clap plugins are not supported?

And how will Dawproject import work without clap support?

Presumably the import will just ignore any plugins that aren’t VST3.

Hi,

the DAWproject supports AU, CLAP, VST2 and VST3 Plug-Ins. If you want to transfer your DAWproject to another host, you have to make sure that the other host supports your used Plug-Type.

See you,
Michael.

So you are only going to support half the plugins in your halfhearted support for dawproject.
Seems par for the course for steinberg nowadays.

I really had hope for a while there that i could update my cubase.

Has anyone been able to get a DAWProject import to work?

I’m on OSX Sonoma with the 14 trial running and the DAWProject file I’m trying to import [ saved from Bitwig ] is greyed out.

Thanks Yvan… following the instructions in that link did the trick.

Really happy with this addition in C14… I have a ton of projects in Ableton Live I was going to need to painstakingly recreate in Cubase. Now I can open the projects in Bitwig and then save as DAWProject files… a bit of housework in to do Live first [ swapping VST2 for VST3s etc ] but this is literally saving me weeks of work. C14 dropped at just the right time!
