Hugh pitched noise coming from channel 2 all the time when trying to record guitar!?

I really need some suggestions or answers …or I’m done with this thing. Never had a problem with my 2 channel UR22C. Interface but now all of a sudden I can’t use any of the REV effects for my guitar and when I use my DAW which is currently Cakewalk by bandlab I get this high pitch screeching noise on my guitar track(I use channel 2 for recording guitar) and I can’t lay down a track even. It’s there even when nothing plugged in just qued up on track…Plus it like started morphing it’s on sound without the plugin i use. I updated the Yamaha plug in and the UR C tools but it’s just not working. Has anyone had these issues?? Should I use the 3.0 jack or bounce down to 2.0 on a powered USB hub?? I current use the 3.0. Any feedback will help. I’m using an HP Ryzen AMD laptop. It’s definitely powerful enough and runs smooth but lately it’s been tough to get it from crashing on this recording program

Is it possible the “Loopback” button is engaged and could be the culprit?

I would love to check the DSP effects for that but unfortunately I can’t even figure out why those aren’t working anymore…I just can’t find them. I’m having a rough go at it and it’s been about 3 months. I didn’t use Cubase, I used Cakewalk by bandlab, it’s a good DAW and easy to use but idk if it’s cuz Steinberg has a thing with Cubase that the effects works better or what but I downloaded the tools months ago and I got the sweet morph channel and the effects and I loved it. Could set my guitar tone before messing w a plugin…now it’s gone, can’t find them and when I click on a DSP effect that pops up it says an error and that there’s a broken link of some thing. I feel like I’ve download the ur tools and the e licenser 109 times on my laptop. I can’t figure out why there’s so much noise, maybe it has something to do with the DSP being gone. Is there a way to reset your interface? To clear it up and just reset it?

Not sure I understand what you mean.
You do not need Cubase or Cakewalk or any DAW for this setting, it’s in the dspMixFx tool you can find here:

Please take time to read your manual, your problem is described on page 11:

@Billy_Smaltz - if only for my curiosity… have you fixed your problem?

yes i have thank you. i have a different problem though, i cant remember what free verison of cubase AI came with my steinberg 2 channel UR22c interface buy? it came with a free verison but i was using reaper at the time so i never download it and this has to be around 2020 so i am trying to get the license for it now, but was it 11 or 12?

If you still have the download access code, and it hasn’t been used yet, you should receive the latest version of Cubase AI when entered in the SDA. In other words, you should get Cubase AI 13.

i have a new computer and had to transfer my license and everything over to it and i see the e-licenser is going away so i downloaded the steinberg voucher and i got the new suite but i am having a problem in my DAW’s with asio drivers. im using the yamaha one, i have the steinberg one and the asio4all which the new verison wouldnt work ast all so i went back to the old one, its hit or miss. is there a specific asio that works in reaper and cakewalk or only cubase?
