Hybrid Keys, Analog Dreams and Ethernal Earth crashes my daw

Hybrid Keys, Ethernal Earth and Analog Dreams crashes my DAW immediately when I press any key. The issue has been around for 2 months covering several updates of both Kontakt 6 and Cubase 10.5

Every other library works in Kontakt 6 via Cubase 10.5. When I launch Kontakt 6 in a standalone window, Hybrid Keys, Ethernal Earth and Analog Dreams all work flawlessly, its only when I go via Cubase 10.5 that it crashes.

I have performed e-licenser maintenance task. I have also made sure that Kontakt 6 in cubase is the same version as the one it opens stand alone, which is 6.5.2 . I also checked the VST plugin folder and made sure it loaded the correct plugin. The problem started with Cubase Catalina and persisted when after I updated the operating system to Big Sur.

All solutions I find on the internet are for windows, not Mac, and I’ve, quite frankly, had enough with this one. I’ll appreciate an answer.

Thanks

Please, get in contact with the plug-in developer.

@Josef_Marklund did you end up getting a response from Native? I see to be having the same issue with Hybrid Keys (Mac / Cubase 11)

I’ve figured it out. While deleting a folder that the Native Instruments Support Team suggested (~/Library/Application Support/Native Instruments/) I realised that my custom output for Drum Libraries (see attached screenshot / PIV.cfg) was in the ‘Default/Output Section Presets’ folder, so I dragged it onto my desktop before deleting everything.

After going through the steps, Hybrid Keys worked! BUT… after re-loading the Drum Output Preset, Hybrid Keys started to crash again. I did some further testing and realised that other Native Instrument Libraries (such as Emotive Strings, Analog Dreams, etc.) would work fine with the custom output preset, but Ethereal and Hybrid Keys would always crash when using that output.

I still consider this to be a bug with Hybrid Keys and Ethereal Earth, and have requested it be added to a future update for the product.
