Check out the knowledgebase on steinberg.net. They’ve updated it since N6-- used to say “just turn hyperthreading off”… but are now suggesting you turn it off if you’re having performance issues, but that it can help if you’re using ASIO Guard.
A little ambiguous… but the bottom line seems to be that N6 finally recognizes hyperthreading, but don’t use it if it causes trouble.
