I am having trouble even installing Steinberg Download Assistant 1.37.3

Hey, could anyone verify my issue…?

  1. latest SDA will not install - resets my mac mini (mojave osx) to login screen with black screen resetting everything as if computer has restarted (never-seen-before symptom for me)
  2. Activation Manager also shows ! exclamation mark, login does not work, does not lead me to logging in on chrome neither, only shows Cubase 12 activated and I could not renew either, I initially opened it to activate my upgraded Amped Elektra steinberg-license
  3. Did font book removal + upgraded Java (now java cannot open panel, unexpectedly closing)
  4. I wonder if I need to manually download different version of SDA..? e.g. 1.35.0..?

So my cubase ‘once’ showed ‘NO VALID LICENSE IS FOUD’ message after attempting the activation manager, forcing it to quit because it just got hung.. so I immediately restarted my mac mini (intel), now it opens..

I wonder… what the problem is.
So have not been using SDA for about more than 2 years, for my mac mini, Cubase 12 pro is the latest one, on my mac studio, things working ok.

I try not to update my osx because this one is getting old (intel latest mac mini)

So, if I try to open old SDA, it hangs and say it will not connect, and do I need to ‘move’ the latest SDA to application..? It resets/refreshes my mac

I read all the posts about similar issue. Please any help would be so much appreciated!

My osx is osx 10.14 mojave (according to Steinberg, it should be compatible right?)

There is no manual download location for, ‘Amped Elektra’ content sound…

are you saying I need to download it again perhaps…?

I tried downloading twice on that website no luck..

It used to work fine but like 2 years ago… for Cubase 12 pro

If it is on me, then I will just leave it as it is and not install anything any more for my mac mini intel mojave osx.

But I believe it is not on my end cause mojave osx is 10.14 is still compatible.

I hope I can download different versions of SDA and try every single DMG out maybe…?

So the latest SDA does not work on my mac mini.

It shows crazy crashing, it just restarts my computer to login screen lol

So no good sign I think…

Same situation, no way to open SDA. I out of nowhere lost access to Spectralayers 9, and I read somewhere that it needs to be reinstalled via SDA, which is impossible since my Mac just logs out when I try install and then nothing. Even Steinberg says their SDA works on Mojave that’s not the case for me.
