I can't reactivate my Cubase AI 6

Today I got a pretty bad problem with my laptop, so a full format was in place.

Now, I installed my Cubase AI6 and find out that the “mySteinberg” site is changed, I can’t find the link to reactivate my copy of Cubase AI6.

Can somebody please point me where to go to get my activation code?

Ok, looks like I had to add the new generated softLicencer, then I was able to access the new activation code.

But I can’t erase the old (now nonexistent) softLicencer :confused:


thanks for the feedback. The reactivation button is a feature of a software. If you expand your Cubase AI 6 in the productview, you’ll find a red reactivation button.

Also, I got a question, the mp3 licence shouldn’t be active when I put the Cubase AI licence? because it is showed as a trial in my soft e-licencer.


I have a similar problem after reinstalling my work computer i wanted to reactivate cubase AI 7 but in product view under software there is NOTHING ??? I contact the support, but the didn’t answer yet.

I have registered my ur22 under hardware and elicenser but under software i don’t have anything and I know I have register it . I have all original papers enter download access code i get the activation code but when I try to license it with elicenser it says it is already in use.

Any help here ? ? Because this really suck i buy my ur22 over other audio interfaces because it comes with Cubase AI…

Outside the full versions of Cubase 7.5, Nuendo 6 and Wavelab 8, the Mp3 encoder comes only as a demo license with Cubase LE/AI/Elements 6 and Wavelab LE/Elements 7 and Sequel. You will need to purchase the Mp3 upgrade patch to have a full license allowing you to export Mp3’s from inside your application.


*Purchasing this upgrade will give you a 32 character activation code to download the license to your eLicenser will allow you the ability to export in the Audio Mixdown window using the MPEG 1 Layer-3 file format which is the same as the Mp3 format.

If you need to reactivate your registered license(s) after a computer crash, a corrupt Soft-eLicenser or after purchasing a new computer please download the latest eLicenser Control Center (eLCC) for your OS (Mac or PC) to your refreshed or new computer.


Then log into your MySteinberg account.


Next, look under My Products, and select a license you wish to reactivate by clicking on the down arrow on the right to see further Details and select the option Software Reactivation.

You will be asked to enter your new Soft-eLicenser number.

To copy a Soft-eLicenser number, open the eLicenser Control Center (eLCC) which can be found in the “Program Files” (Windows) or “Applications” (Mac) folder. Select “Registration” from the top menu, choose the 20-digit Soft-eLicenser number and click on “Copy Serial Number”.

Please note, If you registered the previous license it will auto fill your previous registered activation code in the old activation code field. Once the new Soft e-Licenser and old activation code fields are complete select Reactivate. This will provide you with a new 32 character activation code(s) for any license(s) you need to reactivate.

To reactivate the license on your Soft-eLicenser, open the eLicenser Control Center (eLCC) which can be found in the “Program Files” (Windows) or “Applications” (Mac) folder. Click on the green “Enter Activation Code” button to enter or paste your code. A valid code entry automatically displays the license to be downloaded below.


Thanks for the reply but I did get finally an activation code from the support. But anyway I did try before what you suggested and search for the reactivation option, but I could not see the software i had registered before in my software list, now when I activated it with a new number I have visible reactivation options for my cubase. It seems it was some kind of bug because my registration disappear from my stainberg account, simply it was not there.
